Description & specifications

In the family of the Shun Classic knives from KAI, we have the Shun Premier, which is a more exclusive version of the same. The Shun Premier is characterized by Damascus forged blades in 33 layers with a core of VG-MAX, which is a further development of VG-10, which is already a hard alloy of stainless steel. Another detail about the knives in the Premier series is the so-called tsuchime surface, which gives the knife a beaten surface after drop hammer forging.

This set contains a chef's knife and a utility knife, so you are almost completely covered with the set, as the chef's knife handles all the larger chopping and slicing tasks in both meat and vegetables, while the utility knife is good for trimming meat and the slightly finer cutting tasks in e.g. fruit and vegetables.

The knives in the Premier series all have a universal handle, which is therefore suitable for both right- and left-handed users. The handle is made of American walnut wood, which looks really good - especially on a knife magnet from Noyer in walnut.

Maintenance & use

Never cut into bones or frozen items as this may damage the egg. Always wash the knife by hand and dry it thoroughly immediately.

Please note that both the blade and handle can be seriously damaged and broken if the knife is washed in a dishwasher – this also applies to stainless steel and wooden handles.
