Description & specifications
Among the most exclusive knife manufacturers in the world we find Nenox from Tokyo. The knife here is a 24 cm K-Tip chef's knife in western style with a fabulous edge and a beautiful handle in one of the most precious types of wood there is - Desert Ironwood knotwood from Arizona.
This knife is a K-Tip Gyuto, which is based on the classic French chef's knife. The knife is good for most tasks when cooking, and is thus suitable for both slicing and chopping meat and vegetables.
The steel the knife is made of is stainless, and Nenox does not disclose anything about its composition. Certain manufacturers understandably do not want to reveal all secrets, but we can reveal that this is steel in an absolutely special class.
When you hold this knife, you get the feeling of standing with a nice piece of tool. The knife is not only good, but also a masterpiece in its execution. The wood of which the stock is made is Desert Ironwood knot (olneya tesota) from southern Arizona. It is a very expensive and hard type of wood in line with ebony, which is therefore not susceptible, very susceptible to water, oil - or dirt in general. This also means that you can count on a knife that keeps its appearance.
