About the blacksmiths: Kyocera

Kyocera's knife department can hardly be said to be blacksmiths, as they don't have a lot of steel in their hands. Kyocera's knives are made of zirconia ceramic, and that is what they have based their entire large company on.

Everyone owns something from Kyocera, whether you know it or not, because back about 60 years ago, Kyocera began making this ceramic material for picture tubes and industrial printers, and after this the material found even wider use. Today, Kyocera makes a wide range of components and goods that you consciously or unconsciously use in your everyday life. Kyocera has around 60,000 employees worldwide, and the founder of the company, Mr. Kazuo Inamori is still the director.

There are an incredible number of copies of ceramic knives on the market. These can often be recognized by the fact that they are very wide in the blade and splinter easily. Often they are also produced under private label. We recommend that you stay away from these, as you will only be disappointed. Kyocera spends a lot of resources on testing their knives, and they live up to all expectations. Kyocera are the oldest, the original and the best.

We have met Kyocera's European representatives several times, and each time it is just as interesting to hear about the ceramics and their company.
