About the Blacksmiths: Takayuki

Takayuki is stated by mr. Doi, known all over Japan for making some of the absolute best knives in Sakai. We are very proud to present these knives in Denmark. Takayuki makes both Western-style knives as well as the more traditional knives in the classic Japanese steel types, but also likes to use e.g. Swedish steel.

Their collaboration with Naniwa, which makes the wildest whetstones in the world, means that we can import these to Denmark without it having to be in crazy quantities. Once you have tried a knife from Takayuki or e.g. Konosuke and honed it on a Naniwa Super-Stone, you'll never want anything else.

We still have our first visit to Takayuki's to our credit, when the last time we were in Japan we ran into them holding Golden-Week, which are public holidays in Japan - and some enforce these more than others. However, we have met the people behind Naniwa on several occasions.
