Naniwa has done it again. They have managed to make a combination stone that has exactly the right grain sizes and a thickness that is perfect for combination stones. Due to the material it is made of, it will hold the flat surface for longer than most others, and its lifespan is fantastically long.
#800 is, in our view, a very fine grain size that can be used (for a relatively short period of time) to lay the new egg. #5000 is opposite the other side, i.e. the highest grit size, for fine polishing your knives.
This stone is a "Splash and Go" stone meaning that it does not need to lie in water before use.
