Description & specifications
The Masakage series is a collaboration between the blacksmiths in Takefu Knife Village in Echizen and the sharpener Takayuki Shibata in Hiroshima.
The blacksmith behind the Shimo series is Yu Kurosaki. The 'X' suminagashi pattern is made with a special hammer he designed himself. The series is called Shimo (frost) because the blade resembles frost on a window.
