The knife is an exhibition model and has a few signs of use. The knife will of course be polished up as best we can, and the egg will be fixed before it is sent off. <3
These knives have a really beautiful damascus pattern and are 100% hand folded and forged by hand using the warikomi technique.
Haruki Miyazaki-san is a 35-year-old blacksmith based in Nagasaki. He works in his forge on a small island in Goto and makes everything himself from start to finish. This requires a well-rounded skill set as well as forging, heat treating and honing knowledge. He apprenticed under Ooba-San in Fukuoka, and after finishing high school and 5 years of apprenticeship, he moved back to the Goto Islands and opened his own workshop.
