Ceramic ironing steel from DMT grinding steel
An ironing board is not just an ironing board. There are several properties that must play together to give a particularly good ironing steel.
This model from DMT is distinguished by having a reasonable length, where the rod is 30 cm long. The ceramic rod is made with a core of aluminium, and this means that the ironing steel is somewhat more resistant to e.g. to be lost. In addition, the ceramic has a good grinding ability, which corresponds to a very fine whetstone.
With this ironing steel, you can straighten the egg on even very hard Japanese knives - which, however, is a common denominator for all the ceramic ironing steels we carry. If you want to get the most out of your ironing board, we recommend that you use it as shown in the video below. In this way, you also avoid making marks in the iron or potentially dulling your knife.
