Description & specifications
French Deglon, has been making oyster knives and accessories for the shellfish platter for years.
If you would like an oyster knife that, while being good, is also beautiful and affordable, you will find a good deal in Deglon's wide oyster knife.
Whether you want a wide or narrow blade is a matter of taste. It's all about the technique. If you open into the side (directly in the muscle), many will prefer the wide one. If you open from the lock (at the tip), many will prefer the pointed one.

As with all other kitchen tools, we strongly recommend that this oyster knife be washed by hand.
Maintenance & use
Never cut into bones or frozen items as this may damage the egg. Always wash the knife by hand and dry it thoroughly immediately.
Please note that both the blade and handle can be seriously damaged and broken if the knife is washed in a dishwasher – this also applies to stainless steel and wooden handles.
