Description & specifications
Japanese Benriner guarantees high-quality mandolin irons at competitive prices. It is a mandolin iron that you often see used by professionals because it is efficient, cuts well and is relatively easy to maintain.
The blade can be removed by loosening the two screws at the top. The thickness of the cut is adjusted with a rotary wheel on the underside of the mandolin iron, and it allows cutting in thicknesses from 0.5 to 10 mm. There is also a non-slip coating on the underside of the mandolin iron so that it can stand firmly on the surface.
The mandolin iron also comes with a slide, which you use to hold the item you want to cut on the mandolin iron. In this way, you ensure that your fingers do not come near the blade while slicing.
The "Jumbo" model here is the largest of the Benriners mandolin irons we carry. The blade is 12 cm wide.
Maintenance & use
Never cut into bones or frozen items as this may damage the egg. Always wash the knife by hand and dry it thoroughly immediately.
Please note that both the blade and handle can be seriously damaged and broken if the knife is washed in a dishwasher – this also applies to stainless steel and wooden handles.
