KAI Shun Michel Bras knives

Design :

Michel Bras has designed a knife series that represents both beauty, comfort and functionality. Each of the ten knives in the series is designed for each of their specific functions, where both weight distribution and flexibility are taken into account.
All Michel Bras knives are special and therefore have a serial number that tells when the knife was produced. Each knife comes with a wooden sheath and sharpening angle as well as a log-in to the Bras-Kai website where recipes, sharpening and maintenance instructions have been made.

The thoroughness behind the aesthetic knives means that all his knives are far more than just knives.

The blade :
The blade is forged in 3 layers like many of the real samurai swords. The blade is coated with black titanium to strengthen the knives and give it that nice finish.

Core :
The core is made of VG-10 steel, one of the hardest on the market and has a hardness of 61 +/-1 HRC.

The handle :
The stock is made of stained birch. The D-shaped handle fits perfectly in the right hand. The handle has been in a flying poly bath and placed under vacuum, this means that the handle is resistant to water and juices and it does not lose shape or color.
