Laguiole En-Aubrac:
The Laguiole knives we offer come from the Aubrac house, a forge located just outside the town of Laguiole.
Laguiole En-Aubrac has a long and proud tradition of forging folding knives, steak knives and corkscrews.
The quality from the Aubrac house is very high, and all the products are made by hand.
All wood and bone is imported, treated and cut into the unique handles found on the knives. If you look closely, you will in most cases see the hint of a cross on one side of the blades.
The cross dates back to when folding knives were made. The folding knives were used by farmers who spent most of their day out in the field. They could not always make it to church on Sundays, as their animals had to be in the field and looked after. That's why they always had their Laguiole folding knife in their pocket, and that way they could still be in contact with the church.
Zebrano:
The zebrano tree originates from West Africa, and has strong light brown and dark brown shades in stripes.
This product is made from natural materials and there may therefore be differences in the appearance of the wood.
