Description & specifications
The Camembert pocket knife was created in 2006 in the small Norman village of Camembert — the same village that gave its name to the world-famous cheese. The knife was designed at the Artisan Cutlery workshop in Sauveterre de Rouergue and is today produced by Christian Valat at Laguiole en Aubrac, the same maker behind the classic Laguiole pocket knives.
The blade is stamped with the word "Camembert" and bears the village symbol: a Norman woman in the traditional coiffe — a tribute to the knife's origins. The blade is in brushed 12C27 stainless steel, and the knife

Vask kniven i hånden med mildt opvaskemiddel og tør den straks af. Tåler ikke opvaskemaskine. Naturmaterialer som oliventræ kan med fordel behandles let med olie for at bevare træets naturlige glød.
Maintenance & use
Never cut into bones or frozen items as this may damage the egg. Always wash the knife by hand and dry it thoroughly immediately.
Please note that both the blade and handle can be seriously damaged and broken if the knife is washed in a dishwasher – this also applies to stainless steel and wooden handles.
