Description & specifications
The Camembert folding knife was created in 2006 in the small Norman village of Camembert, the same village that gave its name to the world-famous cheese. The knife was designed in the Artisan Cutlery workshop in Sauveterre de Rouergue and is made today by Christian Valat at Laguiole en Aubrac, the same maker that is behind the classic Laguiole folding knives.
The blade is stamped with the word "Camembert" and bears the village emblem: a Norman woman in the traditional lace bonnet, a tribute to the knife's origins. The blade is made of brushed 12C27 stainless steel, and the knife closes with a friction lock that gives a sturdy and reliable closure. The handle is made of juniper wood, whose golden and red hues and characteristic knots give the knife a rustic and original character. A cord is attached to the end of the handle for easy carrying.
With its clean and rustic character, the knife is the perfect companion for a picnic, a walk in nature or a piece of good cheese at the table.
The knife is not dishwasher safe!

Care and use
Wash the knife by hand with mild dish soap and dry it immediately. Not dishwasher safe. Natural materials such as juniper wood benefit from a light treatment with oil to preserve the wood's natural glow.
Maintenance & use
Never cut into bones or frozen items as this may damage the egg. Always wash the knife by hand and dry it thoroughly immediately.
Please note that both the blade and handle can be seriously damaged and broken if the knife is washed in a dishwasher – this also applies to stainless steel and wooden handles.
