Knife manufacturer Sankurafuto (Suncraft) is based in Seki City. Since 1959, Suncraft has been delivering high-quality knives to both east and west, and their bread knives are no exception.
The 210mm bread knife is the versatile size — ideal for large sourdough loaves, baguettes and all baked goods, but also excellent on tomatoes, citrus fruits and other foods with a soft interior and firm exterior. The serrated edge cuts clean without crushing or tearing.
The handle is a western-style handle in pakka wood, providing a comfortable and secure grip.

Foodgear always recommends hand washing — dishwashers dull the edge and promote rust, even in stainless alloys.
Maintenance & use
Never cut into bones or frozen items as this may damage the egg. Always wash the knife by hand and dry it thoroughly immediately.
Please note that both the blade and handle can be seriously damaged and broken if the knife is washed in a dishwasher – this also applies to stainless steel and wooden handles.
