Pistacia terebinthus is a local tree from the Mediterranean region, which has the unique property of being able to be processed with its sapwood, providing a density similar to its heartwood. This three to five meter high shrub has a hard wood that is often used in furniture making and marquetry to create ornaments.
Maintenance & use
Never cut into bones or frozen items as this may damage the egg. Always wash the knife by hand and dry it thoroughly immediately.
Please note that both the blade and handle can be seriously damaged and broken if the knife is washed in a dishwasher – this also applies to stainless steel and wooden handles.
