Sabragé, the technique of sabering the top of a champagne bottle, has its origins from the time of Napoleon. Known for the quote "Champagne! In victory one deserves it; in defeat one needs it." His many victories often led to champagne. The saber, which was the preferred weapon of Napoleon's light infantry, was used during celebrations to open champagne bottles.
Laguiole En Aubrac, known for their quality and craftsmanship, has created a champagne saber inspired by the traditional Laguiole design.
The handle is made of ox horn from Nigeria. An incredibly simple yet beautiful material that boasts classic lines and simplicity.
Wood, horn, and bone are natural products, and each piece has variations in color and texture. There may also be knots in the wood.
