The founder of the Higonokami knife, Komataro Nagao, started "Hirata Knife" in Miki, Hyogo Prefecture over 100 years ago.
Here, the craftsmanship from 5 generations of tradition has evolved to make the small folding knife what it is today. Higonokami knives made by Nagao Kanekoma Knife are the only brand allowed to call their knives Higonokami.
Maintenance & use
Never cut into bones or frozen items as this may damage the egg. Always wash the knife by hand and dry it thoroughly immediately.
Please note that both the blade and handle can be seriously damaged and broken if the knife is washed in a dishwasher – this also applies to stainless steel and wooden handles.
