Maintenance and Use

Store the katana dry and avoid moisture to prevent rust. Clean the blade after use with a soft, dry cloth and apply a light layer of oil intended for knives or swords. The fabric of the saya may vary — check for dirt or wear and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to preserve the colours.

Maintenance & use

Never cut into bones or frozen items as this may damage the egg. Always wash the knife by hand and dry it thoroughly immediately.

Please note that both the blade and handle can be seriously damaged and broken if the knife is washed in a dishwasher – this also applies to stainless steel and wooden handles.
