Description & specifications
The newest member of our own knife series, Foodgear Hamono.
In collaboration with a new manufacturer, we are creating yet another series from our own brand. A complete series with 7 knives, something for every need you might encounter in a common kitchen.
The knives are made in 3 layers. VG-10 in the core with stainless outer layers, resulting in relatively low maintenance as the knives will not patina or rust. Finished with a tsuchime/mirror finish.
They are thin over the spine, very light knives that cut excellently for the price.
The handle is made of walnut, with a stainless steel ferrule.

Foodgear always advises against cutting any type of bones or frozen goods. Knives should not be washed in a dishwasher, as this removes sharpness and promotes rust attacks - even in stainless alloys!Â
Maintenance & use
Never cut into bones or frozen items as this may damage the egg. Always wash the knife by hand and dry it thoroughly immediately.
Please note that both the blade and handle can be seriously damaged and broken if the knife is washed in a dishwasher – this also applies to stainless steel and wooden handles.
