Asahi Pro is every knife enthusiast's dream when it comes to cutting boards.

It is made of synthetic rubber but is embedded with wood fibers, meaning it is really gentle on the knife edge as the cutting board 'gives' when the edge strikes, yet it still feels like cutting on wood.

The surface dries quickly, making it very antibacterial and at the same time really durable. The surface can also withstand being scalded with boiling water without deforming or warping.

However, it is not dishwasher safe and must always be washed by hand, then dried and laid flat on the table or stood upright against the wall.
