The founder of the Higonkami knife, Komataro Nagao, started the "Hirata Knife" in Miki, Hyogo Prefecture over 100 years ago.
Here, the manufacturing skills from 5 generations of tradition and craftsmanship have developed to make the small folding knife what it is today. Higonokami knives made by Nagao Kanekoma Knife are the only brand that can call their knives Higonokami.
Maintenance & use
Never cut into bones or frozen items as this may damage the egg. Always wash the knife by hand and dry it thoroughly immediately.
Please note that both the blade and handle can be seriously damaged and broken if the knife is washed in a dishwasher – this also applies to stainless steel and wooden handles.
