Description & specifications

Peeler in T-shaped version from KAI Shun

A peeler is an indispensable tool in the kitchen – at least it will be after you try this model. KAI Shun is primarily known for their very high quality chef's knives, but what many may not know is that KAI is a large conglomerate that also supplies instruments to the pharmaceutical industry – they make, among other things, some of the world's best scalpels. The peelers from KAI Shun are produced in the same place as the scalpels, and you therefore get a peeler with a particularly sharp edge.

Although the thin peeler here may not look like much, you will find that it cuts very easily and that you can therefore very quickly peel root vegetables, vegetables, fruit or use it in a completely different ballpark, such as peeling flakes of Parmesan cheese.

The T-peeler is made of stainless steel, while the cutting edge itself is made of the well-known VG-10 alloy, found in the best knife series from KAI Shun. There is also a small eye on the T-peeler, which you use to remove small impurities in your items.

This model is also available in a wider version, which you can see here . If you are more into the classic I model, you can see it here.

We advise against washing the peeler in the dishwasher.

Maintenance & use

Never cut into bones or frozen items as this may damage the egg. Always wash the knife by hand and dry it thoroughly immediately.

Please note that both the blade and handle can be seriously damaged and broken if the knife is washed in a dishwasher – this also applies to stainless steel and wooden handles.
