Maintenance and Use

Always wash the knife by hand with mild soapy water and dry it thoroughly right away to prevent rust. Store the knife in a sheath or knife block to protect the edge. Avoid dishwashers and acidic foods, as Shirogami steel is not stainless. Regularly sharpen the knife with suitable sharpening stones to maintain optimal sharpness.

Maintenance & use

Never cut into bones or frozen items as this may damage the egg. Always wash the knife by hand and dry it thoroughly immediately.

Please note that both the blade and handle can be seriously damaged and broken if the knife is washed in a dishwasher – this also applies to stainless steel and wooden handles.
