Description & specifications
Once again, a marvel comes from the talented craftsmen of Konosuke.
The Konosuke Powder Steel Prototype is one of the latest products from the famous manufacturer from Sakai, Japan.
As described, these are prototypes from a new series Konosuke is working on. They are made with a powder steel core and stainless steel outer layers.
Even though it is a 'prototype' the product is already super well made. The polishing is beautifully done and is almost a half mirror, half migaki finish and all the details have been taken care of. You can expect the same 'attention to detail' you know from their other products.
The knives here are true Sakai lasers. Measuring just 2mm out of the tang and thinly ground behind the edge.
Like their newer series, these are sharpened in-house at Konosuke, but this will be their first attempt at a stainless steel knife that they have produced themselves.

Maintenance & use
Never cut into bones or frozen items as this may damage the egg. Always wash the knife by hand and dry it thoroughly immediately.
Please note that both the blade and handle can be seriously damaged and broken if the knife is washed in a dishwasher – this also applies to stainless steel and wooden handles.
