This is not just a knife, but a work of art without equal. Probably one of the most sought after knives ever.
We are super honored and proud to once again be able to introduce you to these unicorns. Konosuke's flagship knife, the FM Fujiyama is available again at Foodgear.
The Fujiyama from Konosuke has seen a lot of development over the years. When they were first launched in 2006, the owner of Konosuke, Kosuke Kawamura went out knocking on the doors of various craftsmen in Sakai, Japan and shared his vision to build what he believed would be the ultimate knife. After many knockdowns, he finds the now legendary blacksmith Yoshikazu Tanaka, and the highly recognized grinder, Morihiro. Together they create what will become a cornerstone of Japanese knives, the first Fujiyama.
The knives today are still forged by Tanaka-san, but are now sharpened by a young, incredibly skilled sharpener, Naohito Myojin. The FM Fujiyama is also stamped with Myojin's 'kokuin' on the reverse, representing Mt. Fuji and a sun.
